190 heater on too often Annotated(1)
this will be usefull for all 190 owners!!! has/have you ever had problems with the heat/air condition where the two outer side vents blow hot air while the the two center vents blow cold air with the air condition on ?, if so the problem is a throttle sensor thats mounted on top of the heater box ..the sensor will have to be replaced by somebody who is handy with mercedes benz (or dealer) the problem is that the entire dashboard has to be removed in order to change the sensor out, I charge $ 250.00 excluding parts. I hope I was any help to you …I’ll do better next time.

The ABS light isn’t flickering, it just happens to be the only light that ’self-tests’ when the ignition is switched on.

If fuse blows, then power to fuel and ABS computers will stay off. if symptoms are intermittent but always occurring together then you have a faulty relay. You can either replace it or open it up and resolder all the joints inside - the latter worked for me.

Cold starting problem - first check the OVP relay. This is a silver relay with a red or black plastic top, which has a flip lid with a 10Amp fuse inside. The relay is situated behind the battery- there is a black plastic panel which you can simply pull out and you will see the OVP relay. Check the fuse - this relay protects the cold start system as well as the ABS system and if fuse is blown, cold strat system is disabled giving poor cold starting. It could be that fuse is ok and OVP relay is bad or has corroded contacts - clean the contacts with a wire brush.
